BAIT

"Bait"
acrylic, PanPastel, Distress ink, collage
6x9 on mat board

I took an online class from Claudine Hellmuth about composition and this piece came from that.  I do love a nice high horizon line.

The blue is a piece of deli paper that I painted with thinned acrylic and then let dry stuck to a non-stick craft sheet. Kinda like putting plastic wrap or crinkled wax paper on wet watercolor and letting it dry before removing it. You can get the coolest textures.

The fish was done with PanPastel and sequin waste as a stencil.
